Celia Carl Anderson
Celia Carl Anderson has lived in Alaska since 1979. She holds a BA in Fine Arts from Oregon State University, an MA in Interdisciplinary Studies (Fine Arts and Arts Education) from Oregon College of Education and an MFA in Illustration from Syracuse University. An Associate Professor of Art, Anderson taught Visual Arts at Mat-Su College and at Kenai Peninsula College. Since 2002, she has directed the Visual Art Program at Kenai Peninsula College where she also serves as director of the Gary L. Freeburg Gallery and an advisor for the KPC Art Students’ League. Solo exhibitions include Visual Art Center of Alaska, Anchorage Museum, Alaska Pacific University and Western Oregon University. Her work is in permanent collections of Museums throughout Alaska, state and municipal collections in Alaska and universities in Alaska and Oregon. She has done 18 large pieces for the One Percent for Art in Public Places Program across Alaska.
