Donald Gregory is Tlingit from Southeast Alaska. Gregory was first inspired into the art world as a child, and thus began a lifelong passion for art. He has had various tutors and mentors from his region and also from Washington State. He uses a variety of media including ivory, wood and metal to create trade bead necklaces with pendants, rattles, traditional halibut hooks, scrimshaw, cribbage boards, totem poles, figurines, whalebone figurines, ivory and trade bead earrings, Tlingit wood paddles, plaques and wall panels, as well as traditional carved headdresses. He currently resides in Juneau.
