Michael Klensch is a resident of Skagway, Alaska and freelance landscape photographer. Educated and trained in environmental sciences, he has spent most of his career working for national parks across the country. Klensch hopes his photography can inspire others to view wilderness with wonder, respect and humility. Klensch’s work is frequently published by national and international astronomy-based publications. He has won awards from various magazines in the discipline and has received nominations from the Black and White Spider Awards. Additionally, his photos have been displayed in national and state juried exhibitions, solo museum exhibitions and in local Skagway galleries and businesses.
