Ted Herlinger is a multi-media artist and a member of the International Gallery of Contemporary Art. He has lived and worked in Anchorage for more than 20 years. He received his BA in 1973 from California State University in Sacramento and his MFA in 1993 from the University of Alaska Anchorage. He has worked in many fields as a chef, commercial fisherman in Southeast Alaska, U.S. observer aboard Japanese longliners in the Bering Sea and the Gulf of Alaska, and English composition instructor for UAA. He has taught art courses for the University of Alaska Southeast.
