Jeff Cook is regional director of external affairs for Koch Companies Public Sector, LLC. He is based at the company's Flint Hills Resources Terminal in North Pole, Alaska. In this position, he represents Koch Companies and Flint Hills in community, business, media and government affairs in Alaska. Prior to joining Flint Hills Resources and predecessor owners of the refinery, Mr. Cook was director of northern community relations for ARCO Alaska and commercial real estate broker with a family-owned firm in Fairbanks.
Mr. Cook served on the Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce Board from 1984 to 1990, and again from 1992 - 1998. He served as chair in 1985, and is currently active as a member of the chamber’s government affairs committee. Mr. Cook is a past member and president of the University of Alaska Board of Regents.
Mr. Cook is active in the Fairbanks Rotary Club and has served as its president. He is currently president of the Greater Fairbanks Community Hospital Foundation board, and served as chairman of the corporate giving committee for the Denali Center extended care facility and the Harry and Sally Porter Heart Center on the hospital campus. He serves on the board of directors for the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce, and is on advisory boards for Alaska Airlines and Wells Fargo Bank.
Mr. Cook was born and raised in Fairbanks, and is a graduate of Lathrop High School. He completed both his BBA and MBA degrees at the University of Oregon.
