Jeff Cook is Regional Director of External Affairs for Koch Companies Public Sector, LLC. He is based at the company's Flint Hills Resources North Pole Refinery, the largest refinery in Alaska. In his position, he represents Flint Hills in community, business, media and government affairs in Alaska and the northwest regaion. Prior to joining Flint Hills Resources and predecessor owners of the refinery, Cook was Director of Northern Community Relations for ARCO Alaska. Prior to working for ARCO, he was a commercial real estate broker with a family-owned real estate firm in Fairbanks.
Jeff served on the Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce Board from 1984 to 1990, and was chairman of the Chamber in 1985. He took a break from the board, coming back as a board member from 1992 through 1998. He is currently active as a member of the Chamber's government affairs and natural resources committees. Cook is a past member and President of the University of Alaska Board of Regents.
Jeff is active in the Fairbanks Rotary Club, having served as a president of that club. He is a board member and president of the board for the Greater Fairbanks Community Hospital Foundation, and served as chairman of the corporate giving committee for the Denali Center fund drive. In addition, he is a member of the Providence Health System Alaska Region Board. He serves on the board of directors for the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce. He is on the community advisory boards for Alaska Airlines, Fairbanks International Airport and Holland America-Westmark. Cook serves on the statewide advisory board for Wells Fargo Bank. He also is a member of the legislative committee for the Alaska Oil and Gas Association.
Jeff was born and raised in Fairbanks, and is a graduate of Lathrop High School. He completed both his BBA and MBA degrees at the University of Oregon. He and his wife Sue have four children ranging in age from 26 to 42.
