What types of requests are eligible for a Tier 1 grant? In this week's blog, the Foundation's Jeff Baird takes us on a deep dive into Tier 1 grants of 2013 -- a record year where every region of the state received at least one.
Ladies and gentlemen, please take a moment and locate some breathing apparatus. I am about to take you on a year-end deep dive of Rasmuson Foundation’s Tier 1 program, and some extra O2 could come in handy.
The Tier 1 program is intended for projects up to $25,000. While most requests, and consequently most awards, are for capital projects, the Tier 1 program will also support technology updates, capacity building, program expansion, and the development of new creative work such as media productions and cultural arts projects.
Applications are accepted any time and the Foundation will provide an answer to your request within 90 days of receiving a complete application. Thanks to the great project ideas coming from the nonprofit sector, Rasmuson Foundation awarded more than $3 million to 162 organizations through the Tier 1 grant program. See the entire list of Tier 1 grants here.
