Anchorage, AK– Angela Cox will join Rasmuson Foundation as Vice President of External Affairs on June 5.
Cox is a lifelong Alaskan from Barrow. She brings a wealth of nonprofit leadership experience to the Foundation. She is currently the Vice President of Administration for Arctic Slope Native Association, a nonprofit tribal health organization that operates the hospital in Barrow.
Previously Cox served as Director of Foundation & Endowment Development for Arctic Slope Regional Corporation where she set up and served as Acting Director for the Arctic Slope Community Foundation. She has also worked as a research and communications consultant for Ford Foundation in New York.
Cox earned an MPA from New York University – Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and a B.A. in Communication with Honors from Washington State University – Edward R. Murrow School of Communication, where she served as a student member of the Board of Regents her final year.
Cox serves as a member of The Alaska Community Foundation Board and as a member of the Foraker Operations Board.
Cox launched her career as a communications intern with Rasmuson Foundation in 2004.

About the Foundation
Jenny Rasmuson with her son, Elmer, created the Rasmuson Foundation in May 1955 to honor her late husband E.A. Rasmuson. The Foundation is a catalyst to promote a better life for all Alaskans.
