Rasmuson Foundation Awards $6.6 Million

Anchorage, AK – Rasmuson Foundation Directors approved awards for 14 organizations totaling more than $6.6 million at their November 28 board meeting. The grants will go to agencies across the state and will benefit a number of different programs.

New Service Provides Assistance to Alaskans with Philanthropic Intent

Anchorage, AK – A new service has been launched that will provide assistance to Alaskans seeking to use their wealth to make positive change. Alaska Philanthropy Advisors, led by established nonprofit leader Dennis McMillian, will fill a need that individuals, companies or families often have, which is help in defining and articulating philanthropy goals, identifying partners or grantees, and investing in programs that achieve the donor’s desired impact.

Foundation announces $9.7 million in awards, projects

Anchorage –  Rasmuson Foundation’s board of directors met last week and made $9.7 million in awards to support nonprofit activities and continue Foundation initiatives aimed at strengthening the nonprofit sector and Alaska communities. The projects receiving funding were (organized by region):

Anchorage
Affinityfilms, Inc., will advance the production and editing of ‘Backing Out of Time’, a documentary about those caring for family members with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia with a $75,000 award.
